No, Flare Bourbon is run by a small group of friends and their family in Georgia. We have nothing against the brands that are cookie cutter duplicates with a generic whiskey in their bottle. The easy way for many is to work with a large company that will stick your name on a bottle and fill it with something. The hard way is to slowly chip away at it because we're proud of what we've crafted. There's no shortcuts in aviation, you can't write a check and magically have hours in your logbook, you have to be dedicated and earn every hour. That's our difference.

Flare Bourbon is only produced in very small batches. We followed the advice of 'industry experts' on volumes to produce and with the benefit of hindsight, we should have made more. By 2027 our volumes will have increased and we should be able to keep up... unless we continue to grow... 😅 Thanks for understanding and hanging with us.

Short answer - no. Longer answer - yes! The Staggerwing barrels were from one of the owners private collection. We released these as a celebration of Flare Bourbon's first year. While we won't release the 'Staggerwing' bottle again, we will do another special release towards the end of 2026. Things might already be... ageing...

No, we won't be out there trying to seek investors promising miracle returns. We've taken modest and measured steps for Flare to take flight. We do not wish to be one of those companies constantly seeking investment to prop up a poor model from the first flight.

Short answer - no. Longer answer: we made a decision at the very beginning of Flare's journey to not invest in a full blown distillery but instead utilize the equipment from another small distillery. The most common weak point for many small start up whiskey / brewing companies are the huge overheads. By working with another small outfit, we help them cover some of their costs and we give ourselves the best chance of success. Our goal longer term is to build our own facility but that will be many years into the future. We can only dream.... beautiful grass runway, gorgeous hanger, still, tasting room / bar.... !!
